Since 1993, Cornelia has been active in genealogical and historical research. 

She began with her native New York State, focused on researching house histories to save a building that was once a stage coach inn, and learned to perform in-depth courthouse research from title workers. Her project grew to become the Historic District in her hometown, now listed on NY State and National Registers of Historic Places.

Her research strengths include: New York State families of English and Dutch origins, New England families of English origins, Southern families of the Colonial American period, American families of Scottish origins. She is a Viking and a Celt.  

Her focus is on Colonial America, England, Scotland and Medieval Europe.
